Ruaha National Park
From the center of town to the new park gate is about 115 kms. Ruaha is a beautiful and relatively unspoilt park 
   
Lugalo Monument
Is about 20 kms from Iringa going towards Dar-Es Salaam and is the memorial erected by the Germans to commemorate the battle fought against the Wahehe under Cheif Mkwawa 
   
Isimila Stone-Age Site Is 16 kms from Iringa from the bottom of the hill turning towards Mbeya. The site occupies what was once a lake bed, many stone age tools, the bones & skeletons of pre-historic animals have been discovered there 
   
Rock Paintings
The newly discovered rock paintings at Igeleke on the way out of town on the Dodoma road are an easy hike from the road 
   
Gangilonga Rock Is a nice hike to climb and see the beautiful views around Iringa. It is an easy walk from the Lutheran Centre
